We harvested our pumpkins from the garden this morning. It has started to get rainy so I wanted to go ahead and pick them since they were already turning orange. I didn't want them to get rotted. We got 3 pumpkins from the garden. The smaller 4th in the front is from our farmers market. I don't know if we will carve any of them or if we will just use them for decorative purposes, maybe eating. I will definitely be growing pumpkins again next year!

Good job on the pumpkins!! I think pumpkins and squash are fun to grow because they grow so fast you can see them change almost every day. Jon's credibility was definitely challenged this morning -- the boys couldn't believe Mommy wanted him to buy cow poop for the garden. They were sure daddy was teasing -- but Mimi stuck to the story!
Gotta make those pumpkin-ginger scones. I think about you every time I make them :) and roast the seeds. My mom used to do that every year, and I LOVED eating them!
Beautiful pumpkins to go with a handsome boy! He looks excited to have picked the pumpkins! Great job with pumpkins...so much fun and such a good return on work/harvest.
i miss pumpkin season! when i was in texas last september, i took a picture of the stash of them in front of whole foods, just so i could remember that somewhere in the world, it is truly fall.
