One More Post Today....(I got a million ideas....)

Wanna see the words to my new favorite song?

I have recently discovered Jack Johnson. His music is relaxing, thoughtful, creative, and it draws me in. I like the words to his music and I like the way it makes me feel.

I got the CD In Between Dreams and had tears in my eyes the first time I listened to the song titled Do You Remember.

Do You Remember
Do you remember when we first met? I sure do
It was some time in early September
You were lazy about it, you made me wait around
I was so crazy about you I didn't mind

I was late for class, I locked my bike next to yours
It wasn't hard to find, you painted flowers on it
I guess that I was afraid that if you rolled away
You might not roll back my direction real soon

I was crazy about you then and now
The craziest thing of all is over ten years have gone by
And you're still mine, we're locked in time
Let's rewind

Do you remember when we first moved in together?
The piano took up the living room
You played me boogie-woogie I played you love songs
You'd say we're playing house now you still say we are

We built our getaway up in a tree we found
We felt so far away but we were still in town
Now I remember watching that old tree burn down
I took a picture that I don't like to look at

Well all these times they come and go
And alone don't seem so long
Over ten years have gone by
We can't rewind, we're locked in time
But you're still mine
Do you remember?

It is hard to believe that I have known Jon for 12 years now. This song touches my heart because of some of the similarities in the song and our own story. We have so many memories together and I still love that man of mine.

If you are looking for some new tunes I recommend this one.

I LOVE JACK JOHNSON! Yes, I had to write it all caps. The cd On and On is also very good too. I listened to a lot of Jack Johnson when Ace was in utero. Then, when I was having trouble breastfeeding I would turn on Jack Johnson and Ace would latch on immediately.

The DVD Jack Johnson and Friends: A Weekend at the Greek is very good too.

You may also like Animal Liberation Orchestra (ALO). They are also on Jack's label, Brushfire Records. You can watch a lot of videos on their website at: http://www.brushfirerecords.com/videos/

very cool. :o)

We are huge fans of the Curious George Jack Johnson in our house. I actually asked for it for MY birthday because I knew I could handle it if the kids requested it over and over...now I really drum up great enthusiasm for the sharing song. ;-)

I haven't heard this but I'll give it a listen - and Elvis Presley - well sure! He is after all the "king of rock and roll" :)

A - try Martina Mc Bride's new CD - there is a song called "ANYWAY"
I really love it!

Joy!
