Snaggletooth!

I have a snaggletooth baby! Graham's first tooth popped through yesterday.

When he was 3 months old he got the raised "bumps" but I knew the teeth would come in a few months. I noticed a few weeks ago that one of his gums on the bottom was higher than the bottom. I kept feeling everyday to see if anything was happening and then I noticed his gums turning white and knew the tooth was on its way.

Well, it is here! Thankfully he didn't seem bothered by it. Whew!

He is so ready to start solids but I am going to wait until he is 6 month old--in 9 days. I can't believe that he will be 6 months old already. It has gone by fast!

Hey Sweetie, don't forget to watch your fingers when he gets ready to eat...if he was like Ewan and Isaac at that age, they were like sweet little crocodiles waiting for the spoon to hurry back for another bite! So cute and so funny! I loved to feed them because it was so fun and loved to watch them because they were so intent on eating...so focused. Can't wait to see some pics of Graham when he begins to eat...yummmy Super Food!

Yea, first tooth! Always a nice milestone to pass. Glad it wasn't painful for him.
I know some moms don't start solids until even later, like 8 or 9 months. Do you know the reason for that? We just started Amelia about a week ago. She was starting to get hungrier, and she would just WATCH us while we ate and tried to imitate us. It was like she was trying to figure it out -- "What are you guys doing, and how can I get my hands on some of that?!"

I think starting solids that late is about preference a lot of the time or the readiness factor. Some kids aren't ready to eat solids at six months and so rather than force it parents wait. Some parents prefer to wait until a year if they are exclusively breastfeeding.

When I saw the title, I thought you were going to say Ewan had lost his first tooth!!

They are so cute when they get those first little teethies in...I can't believe he's six months old already, either!
