Peeing During Pregnancy

I wish that peeing in your pants was not part of pregnancy.

I have had more problems with this pregnancy with incontinence! Today we were playing outside with the "big as Ewan" bouncy ball. Of course it got tossed in the street and proceeded to travel down hill slowly --but fast enough for me to have to run 2 houses down to get it. With every step I am feeling my underwear get a little more damp with every step. Dang it!@@!

I do my Kegel exercises but it seems to do no good (even though I know it is). I really wanted to go inside and pee but that would require taking both boys inside and I never want to disturb outside mojo when both boys are having a blast. Note to self: Remember to pee before we go outside next time!

Sweetie, just keep Kegeling because the older you get those darn muscles are just not enough to hold your water when you laugh, sneeze, cough, jump, run, or bend over and lift something you can pee in your pants and it is infuriating! I, too, Kegel away so I wonder what it would be if I didn't? Niagra Falls? A constant pour? So sorry, but don't quit doing the Kegels. That's why we need cheerleaders during pregnancy and after...one, two, three, four, five, six, tighter now, seven, eight, tighter tighter, nine, ten hold it, hold it, breath and relax. Let's do another 100....

just be glad its pee you cannot hold--when you get old like grandma you have trouble with all body functions ----hang in there

I always worry about peeing the bed at night. UGH! Haven't done it yet, but when you have to go so frequnetly and all youwant to do is SLEEP through. Scary! Are you doing different types of kegels? Like more than just squeeze/release with lots of reps? You might want to try different variations. And during your pregnancy, the muscles will be stretched with lots of pressure. Be sure to continue doing them even after the baby!

I think my weakness is from getting lazy on the Kegels after I had my 2nd baby (even though I knew better). I have been changing up the exercise. I pass out a new Kegel pattern in my childbirth classes every week so I just follow what I am passing out myself. It is hard to remember to do them consistently.
I totally know what you mean about sleeping through! More often than not something will wake me up at night and then I lay there debating whether or not I should get up and pee. If I don't get up I MIGHT get through the rest of the night but usually I will start having weird dreams that wake me up anyway. It is just one of those "costs" of pregnancy. :)
